Our journey to achieving this vision started in 2014 when our CEO, Tabot Arreytambe founded the EduTeens Science Development (ETSD) Foundation in Nigeria
In 2015, the Foundation launched two programs: Code2Schools (a student-focused program) and ReTeach (a teacher development program)
By mid-2015, through our Code2Schools and ReTeach programs, we were able to create an outsized impact in Secondary and High Schools across the Abuja Metropolis
In late 2015, our CEO then working at Nile University was awarded the Google Computer Science for High Schools grant of $15,000 to scale the Code2Schools and ReTeach programs
In 2016, our CEO was selected through a very competitive process to attend the Atlas Corps Fellowship in the United States sponsored by the State Department
In January 2024, the non-profit EduTeens in Nigeria closed its doors and rebranded into the new entity, Bitsy Builders incorporated in the United States as a for-profit
